Attività principali
In today’s interconnected and rapidly changing world, young people need more than academic
knowledge. They need global competence, leadership, and collaboration skills to become
strong, well-connected, regenerative individuals. The Youth For Tomorrow (YFT) initiative under
the Youth Development Program (YDP), implemented by FSL India, empowers college students
to grow through experiential learning, intercultural exchange, and community action. The
program supports the formation of Youth Teams (YTs) student-led hubs for leadership, global
competence skills, sustainability, and social innovation.
The YFT aims to create a safe space for youth to explore, understand, share, and act while
developing competencies that prepare them for the future personally, professionally, and
socially. Through the Youth Team, students engage in real-world projects addressing issues like
environmental sustainability, inclusion, wellbeing, and community development.
As a volunteer, you will gain hands-on experience in youth facilitation and project management,
allowing you to apply your skills in a new cultural setting while learning to work effectively with
diverse groups. You will be exposed to grassroots development work in India, giving you the
opportunity to understand local realities, engage with communities, and contribute to
meaningful social initiatives. Throughout your stay, you will experience rich intercultural
learning that helps you broaden your worldview, adapt to new environments, and strengthen
your personal leadership abilities.
The volunteers will support following tasks
• Support formation and coordination of Youth Teams (YTs).
• Assist in scheduling and logistics for trainings and sessions.
• Co-facilitate SLT, reflection circles, and group activities.
• Support students in SDG-linked micro-project design and implementation.
• Assist with documentation, photography, and reporting.
• Help organise showcases and review events.
• Promote intercultural learning and youth engagement.
